Deer Ridge Wedding

Ethan and Brooke's wedding day at Deer Ridge in Lexington was truly one for the books. After keeping an eye on the forecast leading up to the big day, they were blessed with absolutely beautiful weather that couldn't have been more perfect for celebrating with family and friends.

From the moment the day began, there was an overwhelming sense of joy and excitement in the air. Surrounded by their loved ones, Ethan and Brooke exchanged heartfelt vows and officially began their next chapter together as husband and wife. Every detail came together beautifully, creating a day that was both elegant and deeply meaningful.

One of the highlights of the day was the stunning Deer Ridge property itself. The venue provided a gorgeous backdrop for every part of the celebration, and the beautiful suite located in the building behind the venue was the perfect place for the couple to relax and prepare for their wedding day. Every space was thoughtfully designed and made for incredible photographs throughout the day.

As if the day couldn't get any better, the evening ended with the most beautiful golden hour glow. The warm sunlight created a dreamy backdrop for portraits of Ethan and Brooke, giving us some of our favorite images from the entire day. There is something so special about those quiet moments together as newlyweds while the sun sets on such an unforgettable day.

Ethan and Brooke's love for one another was evident in every smile, every glance, and every moment they shared together. It was an honor to capture the memories, emotions, and details that made their wedding day uniquely theirs.

Ethan and Brooke, thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness as you begin this new adventure together.

Palace Event Center Wedding

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to second shoot a beautiful wedding for Daniel and Natalie at Palace Event Center in Iowa. I was assisting the incredibly talented Madisen Paulson, whom I have had the pleasure of working alongside before. Madisen is truly magical behind the camera and does an amazing job helping brides navigate and enjoy their wedding day with confidence and ease.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a special day. Natalie was an absolute ray of sunshine. She had the biggest smile on her face all day long, and her joy was contagious. Watching her and Daniel celebrate with their family and friends was such a wonderful reminder of why I love wedding photography.

The weather could not have been more perfect. May weddings have a special place in my heart, and this day was no exception. The warm sunshine, blooming spring landscape, and comfortable temperatures created the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful celebration.

Over the past several years, I've had the opportunity to photograph and second shoot numerous weddings throughout the area. One of my favorite things about this industry is the chance to collaborate with other talented local photographers while helping couples preserve some of the most important memories of their lives. Every wedding is unique, and I always leave feeling grateful to have played a small part in documenting such a meaningful day.

Congratulations again to Daniel and Natalie! Thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day. Wishing you both a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and many happy memories together.

Oregon Retreat

Coastal Couples 🌊

If you had asked me a few years ago what was something I never thought I would experience, this would have been at the top of the list. I have always dreamed of traveling around the countryβ€”especially somewhere along the Oregon coastβ€”but I never imagined I would one day travel there to photograph such incredible moments.

In March, I had the opportunity to attend a three-day photography retreat in Neskowin, Oregon alongside photographers from around the world. Throughout the retreat, we photographed a variety of sessions ranging from casual couples to breathtaking elopement-inspired shoots featuring professional models. Oregon itself was absolutely stunning. Even with the cloudy weather, the coastline and cliffs created the dreamiest backdrop and photographed beautifully.

Every shoot during this retreat felt special in its own way, but my favorite was Luke and Ashlyn’s elopement-style session with the horses. Growing up riding horses myself, this shoot felt especially meaningful and close to home for me. I also loved our sunrise session with Maggie and Jacob on the beachβ€”the soft light, ocean air, and quietness of the morning made it unforgettable.

More than anything, this retreat reminded me how meaningful photography can be. Not only did I get to capture beautiful moments in one of the most incredible places I’ve visited, but I also formed friendships and memories that I know I’ll carry with me for a very long time.

Tulip Farm 🌷

There’s something special about photographing people who feel like home 🀍

This tulip farm session at Nelson Produce Farm was with Delaneyβ€”someone I met back in college and have had the joy of creating with ever since. We’ve done so many shoots together over the years, and every time feels just as easy and fun as the first.

It was one of those cold, windy spring days where you question your life choices for about five minutesβ€”but the kind that ends up being completely worth it. We wandered through rows of tulips, picked fresh blooms, and embraced the chaos of the wind, which somehow made everything feel even more alive.

Moments like this remind me why I love photography so muchβ€”not just for the images, but for the people, the memories, and the quiet in-between moments that turn into something beautiful. 🌷

Runza Date πŸ¦–

There’s something extra special about sessions that feel completely youβ€”and Claire and Connor’s Runza date was exactly that.

We met early in the morning, before the doors even opened, and they had the entire restaurant to themselves. It felt like their own little worldβ€”quiet, cozy, and full of anticipation for the day ahead. They shared Runza together at a corner table, laughing between bites and soaking in the simplicity of being side by side.

What I loved most was how natural everything felt. No pressure, no rushβ€”just the two of them enjoying a slow morning together. The kind of love that doesn’t need anything extravagant to shine.

Afterward, we stepped outside where they ran around in front of the iconic sign, completely carefree. There was so much laughter, so many genuine smiles, and that kind of playful energy that you can’t poseβ€”it just happens.

Sessions like this are such a reminder that your story doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Whether it’s your favorite restaurant, a quiet morning routine, or a place that means something to youβ€”those are the moments worth capturing.

Claire and Connor, you two made magic out of something so simpleβ€”and it was an absolute joy to document. 🀍

The Tassle is Worth the Hassle πŸ₯³

I had the best time photographing Lyla for her December senior session on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus. Lyla recently graduated from UNL in the engineering department and is already planning her next chapter as she heads into graduate school to pursue her master’s degreeβ€”such an exciting accomplishment!

From the start, Lyla came prepared with so many fun and creative ideas, which made the session feel effortless and personal. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny day on campus, and the light could not have been more perfect. Between the classic UNL locations and Lyla’s natural confidence, everything came together seamlessly.

What I loved most about this session was capturing a moment of transitionβ€”celebrating how far Lyla has come while looking ahead to everything she’s about to accomplish. Her determination and positive energy truly shined through every image.

Congratulations again to Lyla on graduating and taking the next step toward her future. It was such an honor to be part of this milestone!

Holiday Fun πŸŽ…πŸ»

Back in November, I had the chance to photograph two of my old college friends, Meredith and Rachel, at a studio in Elkhorn, and it ended up being one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done. I’ve worked with these two on so many different projects throughout the year, and every single time they show up with the most fun, creative ideas. They truly make my job feel effortless.

This session was extra special because it was holiday-themedβ€”warm, cozy, and full of personality. Think festive details, soft light, and that magical feeling that only the holiday season brings. To make it even better, Meredith brought along her adorable puppy, Cash, who completely stole the show. Between his sweet little personality and the genuine joy he brought into the space, he added so much life and authenticity to the session.

What I loved most about this shoot was how natural everything felt. Meredith and Rachel have such an easy, genuine energy together, and being able to capture thatβ€”especially in a creative space where everyone felt comfortableβ€”was incredibly meaningful. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love photography so much: connection, creativity, and moments that feel real.

I’m so grateful for clients (and friends!) like these two who trust me with their vision and invite me to be part of such fun, memorable moments. This session will forever be one I look back on with a smile.

A kearney love story πŸ’

This wedding was such a special one for me to photograph. Teagen isn’t just another brideβ€”she’s a dear friend I met back at UNK when I was a sophomore. We became close during college and have stayed in touch ever since, so being there to capture her and Austin’s big day felt incredibly full-circle.

Teagen and Austin’s love story started back in high school, and after six years together, they finally tied the knot in the sweetest, most intimate ceremony in Kearney, Nebraska. Surrounded by their families, they exchanged vows filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that just radiates.

After their ceremony, we spent time capturing family photos and then wandered around for some couples portraitsβ€”those quiet, joyful moments that felt so perfectly them. It was such a fun afternoon catching up, reminiscing about old college memories, and seeing how happy they are together after all these years.

It’s such an honor to photograph love stories, but it’s an even greater honor when it’s for someone you’ve known and cherished as a friend. Teagen and Austin, thank you for letting me be part of your beautiful dayβ€”I couldn’t be happier for you both!

Flying High with Rachel & Mason ✈️

Some photoshoots are special because of the people, some because of the location β€” and every once in a while, you get the perfect combination of both. That was exactly the case when I met up with my friend Rachel and her boyfriend Mason at the Millard Airport for a shoot that was equal parts fun, personal, and downright cool. 😎

I first met Rachel back in college through a mutual friend at the Newman Center when I was a junior, and I’m so glad I did. Since then, we’ve done a handful of photoshoots together, and every time I think to myself, β€œThis one is my favorite.” Somehow, the next always ends up topping the last!

This time, Rachel had the idea to celebrate something unique to her and Mason β€” they’re both student pilots in the aviation program at UNO. How incredible is that? Naturally, we couldn’t resist bringing their passion into the photos. We headed to the Millard Airport, where we got to capture them with their airplane.

Between the soft golden light on the runway, the quiet excitement of being in a place that means so much to them, and the way Rachel and Mason looked at each other, the whole shoot felt like a little piece of their story written in the sky. These photos don’t just show two people β€” they capture adventure, ambition, and the love of a couple chasing their dreams side by side.

Rachel and Mason, thanks for letting me step into your world for an evening. Your energy, your smiles, and your love for flying made this such a memorable shoot. Here’s to many more flights β€” both in the sky and through life together. ❀️

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice | πŸ‚πŸ“Έ

Next up is Meredith β€” again! I absolutely love doing photos with her. She’s such a gem and truly one of my favorite people to shoot with. Not only does she have an amazing sense of style, but she also brings the best energy to every session. She makes my job so easy!

For this shoot, Meredith reached out wanting to capture some cozy fall vibes with the colorful leaves. We decided on Elmwood Park, and it ended up being the perfect choice. The weather was beautiful, the light was golden, and the evening couldn’t have been more fun.

We laughed, giggled, and frolicked our way through the whole session β€” honestly, it felt more like a hangout than work (which is always the best kind of shoot!). This session made me fall in love with fall photos all over again. 🍁

Love you, girl β€” can’t wait to create more photo magic together in the future! πŸ’›

Royal Senior | At the Castle πŸ‘‘βœ¨

Next up is Marissa! I absolutely loved this senior session β€” it was full of style, creativity, and sweet personal touches. Marissa and her mom came prepared with such a beautiful vision, and we had the best time bringing it to life.

We started the session at Joslyn Castle, where Marissa looked like royalty. She even wore her mother’s wedding dress for part of the shoot β€” how special is that? It added such a sentimental and elegant touch to the day.

We then explored the stunning greenery at the OPPD Arboretum and wrapped up near a peaceful lake in the Regency area. Marissa’s long curly hair, natural confidence, and eye for style made her such a dream to photograph. These are truly some of my favorite senior photos to look back on. πŸ’«

Next up is Meredith and her sweet friend Grace! This session took place in February β€” but you’d never guess it, because the weather was perfect for a photoshoot. The girls showed up in the cutest outfits that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of Standing Bear Lake.

We caught golden hour at just the right moment, and the light was absolutely dreamy. I first met Meredith at the Newman Center, and over time, she’s become not only a long-time friend but also one of my biggest supporters. We've done so many shoots together, and each one is better than the last!

This session was filled with laughter, jokes, and plenty of frolicking (our favorite!). We wrapped up the evening by the dock with the golden light shimmering off the water β€” such a perfect ending. I can’t wait to get these two in front of my camera again soon. πŸ’›

Next up is Bailey and Rachel! I met Rachel through a mutual friend at the Newman Center, and she’s truly one of the sweetest people I’ve had the chance to work with β€” not to mention, a total natural in front of the camera!

She brought her cousin Bailey along for a cozy fall photo session at Elmwood Park, and these two made it such a fun shoot. I loved their coordinating sweaters, the colorful leaves on the ground, and the soft golden light filtering through the trees.

This session was such a blast! Delaney and her best friend Daisy met me downtown on a hot summer evening, and despite the heat, we had so much fun. The bright colors they wore perfectly matched their vibrant energy β€” we frolicked, giggled, and soaked up every last bit of sunshine (even though the sun had us racing against time).

The Spitsnogle Family | Fall Family Fun πŸ‚

I’ve known Missy since I was little β€” she’s been doing my mom’s hair for years and has worked her magic on mine more than a few times too! She’s always been the sweetest, so when she asked me to photograph her family, I was honored to be part of something so special.

Her parents and sister joined in for the session, and we caught the most beautiful golden hour light at Pioneers Park Nature Center in Lincoln. The park was bustling that evening, but we found the perfect little pocket of peace to capture these moments.

For those who know me, I don’t do families super often β€” but this session reminded me how much joy they can bring. From the perfectly coordinated outfits to the laughter and genuine smiles, this one was such a treat to capture.

Tais + Jacob | Engagement Session | Golden Hour, Golden Engagement β˜€οΈ

Next up on the blog is my sweet friend Taisβ€”someone who holds such a special place in my heart. We met junior year of college while in the Radiologic Technology program at Nebraska Methodist, and from day one, I knew she was one of those rare souls you feel instantly at ease with. She’s genuine, kind, and has been one of my closest friends ever since. We’ve stayed in touch through the yearsβ€”even traveled to a Vegas program together last year!

When she reached out to have me photograph her engagement session with Jacob, I was so excited and honored. We chose Hitchcock Nature Center in the Loess Hills for their session, and wowβ€”despite it being one of the hottest and sweatiest days ever (seriously, we were melting), these photos turned out to be some of my all-time favorites.

Their love was so easy to captureβ€”it’s in the way they laugh together, the way they look at each other, and the way they just fit. I loved every minute of that golden evening with them (even the uphill hike!). So much so that I ended up photographing their wedding ceremony later that year. πŸ₯Ή

This session will always be a favorite memory for meβ€”not just because of the photos, but because of the people. Love you, Tais!

SENIOR 2025 | OMAHA + LOESS HILLS GOLDEN SESSION 🏞️

Okay… I have to say itβ€”Gianna’s session is easily one of my absolute favorites to date. She came all the way from Illinois to Nebraska for her senior photos (!!!) and brought the cutest outfits, a creative vision, and the kind of joyful energy that makes a photographer’s job feel like a dream. πŸ’«

We kicked things off at Chalco Hills near the lake where she wore a sweet white romper that felt light, fresh, and soperfectly senior-summer. From there, we headed downtown to the iconic Flat Iron Hotelβ€”hands down one of the most unique buildings in Omaha. Her sleek black dress paired beautifully with the architecture, giving off editorial vibes that I’m still obsessed with.

Finally, we crossed the river into Iowa to wrap up the night at Hitchcock Nature Center in the Loess Hills. Even though it was a cloudy evening, the views were breathtaking. Her flowy orange dress popped against the muted tones of the hills and created some of the most ethereal shots I’ve taken.

Giannaβ€”you brought style, grace, and so much fun to this session. I still scroll through your gallery and swoon. Senior sessions like this one remind me just how much I love what I do. πŸ’›

Golden Hour at Chalco Hills | Roommate Session with Delaney + Friends 🩷

This session takes me way backβ€”to my very first year living in Omaha! Delaney and I met while living at the Newman Center, and she was one of the first people to make this new city feel like home. She brought along her amazing roommatesβ€”Joslyn, Cadence, and Daisyβ€”for what turned out to be one of the most joy-filled, golden-hour-drenched sessions I’ve ever done.

It was a little warm out (okay, sweaty), but it was totally worth it for those glowy fall colors at Chalco Hills. These girls were so easygoing, fun, and willing to trust me with creative directionβ€”even when I made them spin in circles or laugh way louder than necessary.

This shoot still holds a special place in my heart, and I catch myself going back to it often when I need a reminder of how powerful connection, color, and creativity can be. Delaney, Joslyn, Cadence, and Daisyβ€”you made this one unforgettable.
