Summer Sweet Treats at Cup & Cone | M & D’s Bennington Photoshoot 🍦
Some photo sessions just leave you smiling the entire way home, and this was definitely one of them.
I've had the pleasure of photographing Delaney several times over the years, so I was so excited when she asked if her roommate, Madison, could join us for a fun summer session. We wanted something that felt playful, colorful, and full of personality—and Cup & Cone in Bennington was the perfect place.
As someone who lives in Bennington, I was especially excited to collaborate with one of my favorite local businesses. Cup & Cone has quickly become a community favorite, serving everything from handcrafted coffee and delicious ice cream to donuts, specialty drinks, and other sweet treats. It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood, making it the perfect backdrop for a carefree summer photoshoot.
The Nebraska heat definitely made itself known that evening! It was one of those hot summer days where the ice cream started melting almost as soon as we picked it up. We had to work quickly (and laugh a lot) to capture those dreamy ice cream shots before they turned into puddles. Thankfully, the melting ice cream only added to the fun and gave us plenty of genuine laughs.
After our ice cream photos, we switched things up with a glazed donut and coffee, creating a cozy coffee shop feel that complemented the bright, colorful ice cream images. I love sessions that tell a story rather than simply documenting a moment, and this one felt like spending an evening with friends while enjoying all the little treats that make summer special.
Between the adorable location, the genuine friendship between Madison and Delaney, and all the laughter throughout the evening, this has easily become one of my favorite photoshoots to date.
